Marmo Botticino is a quality of compact (pure) beige micritic limestone, quarried in the province of Brescia..
This Marble has brown veins that delicately outline a clean beige background. In this realization it has a brushed finish, but it could also be antiqued and brushed.
Botticino marble slabs, precisely because of the extraordinary elegance and polishability of their surfaces, are particularly suitable for interior finishes as they give rooms a unique and regal style.
The elevated structural values that characterise Marmo Botticino, make it suitable and particularly resistant also for the production of stairs and floors in outdoor uses.

This marble was used by the Romans for buildings in the ancient Brixia (Roman forum). The oldest Brescian piece in Botticino is a capital dating from the first century BC; it was in the Imperial age that the use of white marble became widespread, in renovation and building projects, confirming the expertise of local production and the existence of an export market for the raw and finished product.
In recent times, the use of white marble has become more widespread.
In more recent times Botticino marble has been used for the construction of the Altar of the Fatherland in Rome, the White House in Washington, the Statue of Liberty and the Central Station in New York.
