We are happy to share our latest creation:
This kitchen has a brushed botticino marble top and a solid sink with bush-hammered decorations.
Marmo Botticino is a quality of compact (pure) beige micritic limestone, extracted from quarries in the province of Brescia.
With this marble we realized a Fireplace in pietra serena with botticino brushed top.
There are several varieties of Botticino marble, each type has design nuances that make it more or less suitable for various uses:
Botticino Classic
The Classico variety lends itself to polishing and creates an excellent impact from a ”monumental” point of view, with its ability to give a striking coloration to interior environments. This type of marble is most suitable for cladding, floors, kitchens, stairs, bathrooms, slabs and rooms of all kinds.
Botticino Semiclassico
Semiclassico is a variety that is distinguished by the fine-grained background beige color, with the intrusion of brown veins, perfect for achievements with traditional character.
This variant can be used for both interior and exterior cladding, as well as for slabs and floors of all kinds.
The finishes can be: polished, polished, hammered, rolled, striped, bush-hammered, sandblasted and brushed.
The market for this variety of marble faces fierce competition, where we find the material called botticino a beige marble of another origin, extracted and processed at low cost.
Botticino flowered
Botticino fiorito is a variety of light beige color that is characterized by its peculiar white clouds. These particular colorations make botticino fiorito particularly suitable for valuable works such as interior coverings and floors.
Finishes can be: brushed, sanded, polished, honed, scored, rolled, bush-hammered and hammered.
Suitable for: floors, walls, bathroom tops, kitchens, thresholds, stairs, worked, slabs.
The sink was made of ”solid”, what does that mean?
The main difference between a work in solid marble, and a boxed, also called scatolare, lies in the fact that the first is made from a single piece of stone, while the second is made of several pieces attached to each other.
To achieve a refined artistic result, three aspects are essential:
A correct technical design
the selection of the raw material, especially with veined marbles and polished finish
the precision in processing
With both techniques it is possible to realize:
Steps
Kitchen sinks
Bathroom sinks
Basins for fountains
Fireplace bases, lintels and piers
Architectural elements and cornices
Basements
What are bush-hammered decorations?
The bush-hammering is a process made on the surface of marble and stone that can give an irregular finish with a rough and rustic appearance carved and in relief that enhances the texture of the material.
The bush-hammering is made not only for an aesthetic factor but also to make the surfaces non-slip. In particular on outdoor floors, but also on both indoor and outdoor stairs, on steps and curbs to make them safer.
