We look forward to sharing our future creations with you!

Gray Stone stoneware top and island

We are excited to share with you one of our latest creations in collaboration with Ellegi Arredamenti: a kitchen with a central island with the various services (sink and hob). The top and island have been produced with slabs from the brand Atlas Plan, which specialises in the creation of large ceramic slabs.

The slabs are Grey Stone in colour and are 2 cm thick. They are an intense, deep and compact grey, crossed by contrasting light veins that enhance the elegance of the surface. Grey Stone meets the needs of contemporary living.

Grey Stone is available in silk, polished and matte finishes.
This material can be used both indoors and outdoors and is ideal for all types of
covering: kitchen tops, islands, drawers, doors, backsplashes, tables, walls, bathroom vanities, restaurant and bar counters.

BLOCK

We are excited to present you the project of Leonardo Novolissi and Andre Di Cristo, with whom we collaborated to create BLOCK: a charging stand for smartphones. Leonardo and Andre are students of Professor Sabrina Sguanci’s course at ISIA in Florence.

What is BLOCK?

BLOCK is basically a charging stand for the phone, but with respect to the basic morphology of this product, it eliminates the primary function of the smartphone, limiting the display of the screen to a small vertical window; moreover, it has been designed so as not to allow the phone to be used from the moment it is turned on.

It is also designed not to allow the phone to be used from the moment it is put on charge, effectively putting a block between the user and the device.

Obviously, if they had stopped here, this project would have seemed more like a provocation, without any real commercial value; this is why they have added an application to it, through which the user can both see his or her progress thanks to an interface showing the time gained by not using the smartphone, and also receive small prizes in the form of discount vouchers for various events: bike or scooter rentals for city commuting, gyms, yoga, restaurants, etc… .

Carrara marble

Carrara marble is an atavistic material, linked to a long artistic and artisan tradition. For this reason, using it in a project with modern connotations creates an interesting contrast, fuelled even more by a digital production. It also fits well with the project’s underlying concepts, thanks to its translucence and colour, which recall the inspirational source of ice but also the monolithic one.

Brass

Brass is the contrast that allows us to use marble, without transforming

our object into something too “ancient”, also made by digital

through digital manufacturing processes. The marble part is obtained from blocks of marble sectioned with respect to a cutting plane that identifies the size of the object; once this extrusion is obtained, the marble is excavated with a CNC equipped with water cooling, so as not to cause any damage.

Once this extrusion is obtained, the marble is carved with a CNC equipped with water cooling, so as not to overheat the stone surface.

Processing

From a production point of view, the workings designed for the object are mainly based on digital manufacturing processes.

The marble part is obtained from blocks of marble cut in relation to a cutting plane that identifies the size of the object; once this extrusion is obtained, the marble is carved with a CNC machine equipped with water cooling, so as not to overheat the stone surface.

CNC machining involves two phases: a first phase of sketching out the shapes and a second phase of finishing. The two phases differ in the type of head used.

The metal part, on the other hand, is produced through sintering moulding: the brass powder, heated by a laser, is soldered together, giving life to our object. An operator will then polish the object, making the layering left by the moulding method invisible.

Top in brushed botticino with sink in solid wood and bush-hammered decorations

We are happy to share our latest creation:

This kitchen has a brushed botticino marble top and a solid sink with bush-hammered decorations.

Marmo Botticino is a quality of compact (pure) beige micritic limestone, extracted from quarries in the province of Brescia.

With this marble we realized a Fireplace in pietra serena with botticino brushed top.

There are several varieties of Botticino marble, each type has design nuances that make it more or less suitable for various uses:

Botticino Classic

The Classico variety lends itself to polishing and creates an excellent impact from a ”monumental” point of view, with its ability to give a striking coloration to interior environments. This type of marble is most suitable for cladding, floors, kitchens, stairs, bathrooms, slabs and rooms of all kinds.

Botticino Semiclassico

Semiclassico is a variety that is distinguished by the fine-grained background beige color, with the intrusion of brown veins, perfect for achievements with traditional character.

This variant can be used for both interior and exterior cladding, as well as for slabs and floors of all kinds.

The finishes can be: polished, polished, hammered, rolled, striped, bush-hammered, sandblasted and brushed.

The market for this variety of marble faces fierce competition, where we find the material called botticino a beige marble of another origin, extracted and processed at low cost.

Botticino flowered

Botticino fiorito is a variety of light beige color that is characterized by its peculiar white clouds. These particular colorations make botticino fiorito particularly suitable for valuable works such as interior coverings and floors.

Finishes can be: brushed, sanded, polished, honed, scored, rolled, bush-hammered and hammered.

Suitable for: floors, walls, bathroom tops, kitchens, thresholds, stairs, worked, slabs.

The sink was made of ”solid”, what does that mean?
The main difference between a work in solid marble, and a boxed, also called scatolare, lies in the fact that the first is made from a single piece of stone, while the second is made of several pieces attached to each other.

To achieve a refined artistic result, three aspects are essential:

A correct technical design
the selection of the raw material, especially with veined marbles and polished finish
the precision in processing

With both techniques it is possible to realize:

Steps

Kitchen sinks

Bathroom sinks

Basins for fountains

Fireplace bases, lintels and piers

Architectural elements and cornices

Basements

What are bush-hammered decorations?

The bush-hammering is a process made on the surface of marble and stone that can give an irregular finish with a rough and rustic appearance carved and in relief that enhances the texture of the material.

The bush-hammering is made not only for an aesthetic factor but also to make the surfaces non-slip. In particular on outdoor floors, but also on both indoor and outdoor stairs, on steps and curbs to make them safer.

TOP Laminam noir desir

We are excited to share with you one of our latest creations in collaboration with Ellegiarre furniture,a kitchen with a central island with the various services (sink and hob). The wooden snack can be used as a kitchen table.

Inside the wall, made invisible by the doors, are the drawers, shelves and the fridge.

The TOP is Laminam noir desir, thickness 2 cm

Laminam is a large ceramic slab with reduced thickness, the thinnest reach a thickness of only 7 millimeters ensuring a great resistance to impact and bending.

It is possible to reach a thickness of 7 millimeters by inserting an extremely resistant fiberglass mat between two 3-millimeter Laminam slabs.

The slabs are produced in a large format of size 1000 x 3000 millimeters up to 1620 x 3240 millimeters allowing you to create tops kitchen, bathroom and tables without cuts..

In this way we can have more uniform, resistant and performing tops thanks to the absence of joints.

This ceramic slab lends itself to many uses: Laminam is resistant to stress, chemicals, wear, scratches and deep abrasion. It is also resistant to frost, fire, mold and UV rays..

Laminam offers a wide catalog of finishes, with many finishes: ranging from wood effect, marble effect, stone, resin, up to the most classic solid colors.

All the characteristics and chromatic properties of the slabs are unalterable, they remain unchanged over time and in the presence of all weather conditions.
